China, Serbia Vow Stronger Military Ties in Key Talks

(MENAFN) Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun met with Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic on Wednesday in the Chinese capital, underscoring growing defense cooperation between the two nations.

Describing the bilateral relationship as exceptionally strong, Dong said China and Serbia are “iron-clad friends who have stood together through thick and thin.” He added that China is ready to collaborate with Serbia to implement “the important consensus reached between the two heads of state on building a community with a shared future for the new era.”

Dong further emphasized the need to generate “new highlights of practical military cooperation, and continuously elevating bilateral military relations to new level.”

On his part, Gasic reiterated Serbia’s steadfast support for the one-China principle and signaled the country’s readiness to expand military cooperation with China across multiple areas, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and promote regional peace and stability.
